Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Senior Researcher in Laser Technologies to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in laser technology research and development, with a proven track record of leading innovative projects and advancing the field. This senior role will involve leading research initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the development of new laser technologies.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead research projects in laser technologies, including design, development, and testing of new laser systems and applications
• Develop and execute research plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, physics, and materials science, to advance laser technology development
• Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences to maintain a strong presence in the scientific community
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the development of the next generation of laser technology experts
• Develop and manage research budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and project deliverables
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in laser technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and growth

Requirements and Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 15+ years of experience in laser technology research and development
• Proven track record of leading innovative research projects and advancing the field of laser technologies
• Strong understanding of laser physics, optics, and materials science
• Excellent project management and leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
• Experience with grant writing, project proposal development, and research funding
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in laser technology, including design, development, and testing of laser systems
• Experience with optical design and simulation software (e.g., Zemax, COMSOL)
• Strong programming skills, including proficiency in languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB
• Familiarity with experimental techniques, including spectroscopy, interferometry, and beam profiling
• Experience with laser safety protocols and regulations

Work Environment and Expectations

• The Senior Researcher will work in a dynamic and fast-paced research environment, with a focus on innovation and collaboration
