Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance Specialist

Overview
------------
We are seeking an experienced Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in security governance, risk management, and compliance, with a focus on implementing and maintaining security controls and protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience working with JAVA script and be able to take requirements and translate them into actionable plans.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and protocols, including incident response and disaster recovery plans
• Analyze and interpret security-related data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Develop and maintain compliance reports and metrics to demonstrate security posture and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members on security-related projects and initiatives
• Work with developers to translate security requirements into JAVA script, including secure coding practices and vulnerability remediation
• Participate in audit and compliance activities, including responding to audit findings and implementing corrective actions

Requirements
---------------

• 3+ years of experience in security governance, risk management, and compliance
• Strong understanding of security governance frameworks, including NIST, ISO 27001, and COBIT
• Experience with risk management methodologies, including threat modeling and vulnerability assessments
• Proficiency in JAVA script and ability to take requirements and translate them into actionable plans
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable recommendations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field

Nice to Have
----------------

• Experience with cloud security platforms, including AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins and GitLab
• Experience with compliance frameworks, including HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR
• Certification in security governance, risk management, and compliance, such as CISM or CISA
