Short Description
Bio-inspired 6000-layer battery study using eel electrocyte concept, 600V architecture, sustainable materials. #IdeaInnovationBusiness
Long Description
This is an educational research concept studying a bio-inspired battery architecture. Inspiration from electric eel electrocytes that stack to produce voltage. Design proposes 6000 ultra-thin solid-state layers at 0.08mm each. Each layer includes chitosan bio-carbon anode, agarose bio-polymer electrolyte, LFP cathode, and bacterial cellulose separator. Target architecture 600V with 48cm folded module. Heart-inspired micro-pump circulates ionic fluid for thermal uniformity. Research goals are 350 Wh per kg at pack level, fast charge via parallel charging, 5000 cycles, and non-flammable electrolyte. Material cost target uses bio-waste. This is a student concept based on published NASA bio-inspired energy literature for sustainable storage research. No physical high voltage system built yet, only study and simulation.
Potential Applications
1. Student EV projects research
2. Solar home storage lab demonstration
3. Educational kit for teaching bio-inspired design
4. Circular economy research using crab shell waste in Morocco
5. Sustainable materials lab study
Open Questions
1. How to improve bio-polymer electrolyte conductivity at lab scale
2. Method for uniform cellulose separator fabrication
3. Micro-pump integration for thermal management
4. Scaling from 100-layer demo to 1000-layer prototype
Seeking academic collaboration in Morocco.
